Never Alone

I woke with a worry, I did not know who I was, but I saw you and felt the earth, I knew where I was, so glad you saw me, just a bit of cheese to cause the dream and upset, just a bit of fear that caused my startle,
But I knew you were there.
I am not alone. I will never be alone.
Strong I am, as a soul, standing proud, floating in the horizon just before the purple of sunrise, speeding to orange.
Yet, I long to be with others, feeling shoulders and hands and hearts and minds,
The worries leave with the sun of winter, so long and low.
First light, first thoughts, feel my earth. Feel my warmth. Feel my hands on your shoulders.
I will never be alone.
